Living In Sin Is The New Thing
Esmeralda here. I don't see any reason as to why I should put a "description" of myself here. Then you would feel as if you had no reason to get to know me, and I promise you wouldn't want to pass up that oppurtunity.

Such Selfish Prayers, I Can’t Get Enough || Anya

cynicalmask:

Anya’s lips twitched into a playful grin. “I don’t think all girls spend their time in the middle of the woods,” she replied nonchalantly. “Just the hot ones.”  She froze slightly, surprised at what had just come out of her mouth. Oh, real nice. Now she was going to scare off her new…friend. Were they even becoming friends? Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Anya swiveled around on her heel and walked away. She was afraid that if she looked into Emeralda’s eyes any longer, she wouldn’t be able to look away. The other girl’s dark irises were so damn dark. Hypnotic. A magnetic force, and even though they had only been chatting for a few moments, Anya could feel the tug. The urgeto turn back around and stare into them - if only to figure out more about this girl.

Anya snatched up a stick so she could have something to do with her hands. The stick made quiet snapping sounds as she broke it into pieces. This is definitely nervous behavior, she thought. Maybe Esmeralda wasn’t too observant and wouldn’t pick up on it. Then again, Anya had more or less just called her hot a few moments ago. Who wouldn’t notice that? Twisting around, her eyes fell on the brunette leaning against the tree. “I don’t bite, you know.” Not unless you want me to, she wanted to add. “You don’t have to stay all the way over there.”

Esmeralda stifled a laugh at Anya’s response, she was just about to say something in return when Anya had spoken again. And then she froze. The once bold and seemingly brash Anya had frozen for just a second. Esmeralda was more surprised by Anya’s reaction to what she had said than by Anya’s actual words. It wasn’t the first time someone had told her she was attractive, and she was pretty sure it wouldn’t be the last time. What Esmeralda didn’t understand was the fact that Anya didn’t pair her statement with a sly grin and a bold affirmation that she didn’t regret what she said. If anything Anya’s reaction was sort of…cute. Anya turned her back to Esmeralda and began to walk further away from her. Despite the fact that the two were no longer locking eyes, Esmeralda still felt that nudge towards Anya. In the few minutes that they had known each other, Esmeralda could tell that their personalities were drastically different. That’s what it was, she told herself. The only reason Esmeralda was so interested in Anya was because she was different. Or at least that’s what she had told herself.

“That poor stick,” Esmeralda watched Anya as she broke the twig into small pieces, amusement clear in her voice as she spoke. “it doesn’t even stand a chance.” Anya’s actions were amusing to her, and slightly confusing. One second she was oozing confidence and the next she was abusing a twig in hopes to draw attention away from her own nervousness. “Well, isn’t that just a shame.” Esmeralda offered the girl a small wink before pushing herself off the tree. “And besides, you’re the one who moved away from me.” she pointed out as she began to walk over to where Anya was standing. Esmeralda placed her hand over the twig in Anya’s, their hands brushing as she did so. The feel of the other girl’s skin sent chills through her, and Esmeralda felt the pull intensify. Pushing the thoughts aside, Esmeralda picked the pieces of the stick out of Anya’s hand, tossing them on the ground. “Don’t you think you should be doing more productive things with your hands, rather than attacking poor inanimate objects?”

Such Selfish Prayers, I Can’t Get Enough || Anya

cynicalmask:

As soon as Esmeralda’s eyes locked with her own, Anya felt her stomach swoop. What the hell?  Unlike Anya’s icy-blue eyes, Esmeralda’s were dark, and they held a gleam of mischief in them. Anya had always had a weakness for girls with dark eyes. Her lips stretched into an amused smile. So Esmeralda had a sense of humor. Thatwas a plus. “I think I’ll keep that to myself, but good try kid.”

Anya brought the cigarette to her lips once more, inhaled on the filter, and blew out the smoke out into the slightly chilly air. Rising from her perch on the rock, she waved her hand dismissively at Esmeralda. “Oh, but we aren’t really strangers, after all. We are both stuck in this prison.” Anya took another drag off her cigarette, eyes quickly sweeping over Esmeralda’s body and back up to her face. A small shiver rolled through her and she had to turn her head, pretending to cough. “Yup, I do. It’s one of my little habits.” Anya lifted her right leg and stubbed the cigarette out on the bottom of her shoe. Then she flicked it away with ease and slowly sauntered over to her new companion. “You strike me as one who isn’t afraid to be bold, but then again, looks can be deceiving. So, why are you out here?”

Staring into someone’s eyes was like staring into the gateway of their soul. Esmeralda had read that in a book somewhere, and at the time she didn’t really understand what that meant. But standing in this exact spot, looking into Anya’s eyes for even the briefest of movements, Esmeralda felt like she was beginning to understand what it meant. There was something hidden there that Anya clearly didn’t want others to see. And although she knew she should just ignore it and take it as her looking into it too much, she couldn’t help but feel that slight pull. Whatever it was that she had caught a glimpse of, she wanted to know what it was. And well, curiosity kills the cat. It was a relief to know that Anya was a girl who could appreciate a joke, which made Esmeralda relax, if just a little. “It was worth a shot.”

“True.” Esmeralda nodded. “But that doesn’t mean I know you any more than I know the old married couple I passed on my way here.” she shrugged, the corner of her lips twitched and formed a smirk. She was no stranger to catching people in the act of checking her out, but there was this strange sense of satisfaction that came from knowing Anya’s eyes had just swept over her body in what she assumed was admiration.  “But we could always pretend that we know each other.” Esmeralda watched as Anya stubbed out her cigarette before moving towards her. Anya spoke with such confidence, as if she were demanding answers from Esmeralda rather than asking for them. And for some reason Esmeralda found herself wanting to give those answers to her. But of course, she wouldn’t. “Don’t all the girls choose to spend their time in the middle of the woods for fun?” she cocked her head to the side. “I mean, what else is there?” she replied with an amused smirk on her face.

Such Selfish Prayers, I Can’t Get Enough || Anya

cynicalmask:

Anya wasn’t surprised that Esmeralda didn’t know her name. Not many people at Walt knew her. In fact, she was pretty sure half of Walt didn’t even know she existed. And that was just fine with her. Anya was perfectly content with only a few people knowing who she was. She really only had what, one friend? Belle. Out of all people, Anya had befriended Belle. Belle was the last person she expected to befriend. But, she had. And oddly, Anya likedbeing friends with the girl. She had severely misjudged her.

And then there was Sally. Sally. Sally had been her first real friend at Walt. They had connected so easily, so fast. Horror movies and serial killers had been their discussion of choice, ninety percent of the time. She and Anya had such a strange friendship, but it just..worked. Until Anya left Walt, that is. Now it was like they were strangers. But Anya was too damn stubborn to admit she missed her.

Esmeralda, though. She could end being a worthy adversary. The girl was ridiculously sexy, which made it a little hard for Anya to tear her eyes away from her face. Dark, curly hair and big dark eyes. But she could handle herself. Shrugging, Anya stubbed out her cigarette against the rock’s smooth surface. “My mistake. I didn’t get enough sleep last night. I meant who it is and posse, not gaggle, but…whatever.”  Slipping her hand into the pocket of her thin hoodie, she removed pack of cigarettes and flipped open the lid. “I’m Anya, by the way.” She shook out a cigarette into her hand, and pulled out the neon green lighter nestled between the cigarettes and the carton. The flame shot out of the lighter the instant she hit the button, and she easily lit her cigarette. “Want a cigarette, doll?” she asked, holding out the pack. She brought the cigarette to her lips with a sly smile.

Esmeralda would be lying if she said she wasn’t at least the slightest bit intrigued. Was it odd that this girl seemed to know of her, yet Esmeralda couldn’t recall a time where they actually met? Just a little bit. Esmeralda was well aware that things at Walt never stay secret, but the last time she checked she hadn’t done anything too extreme so that she was granted notoriety. So how did this girl know her?

Esmeralda watched on curiously as the girl put out her cigarette. Esmeralda’s brown eyes landed on the girl’s face, landing on the other girl’s eyes. The girl was beautiful, no doubt about it. But there was something especially interesting about her icy blue eyes. “Really now? Did something keep you up?” Esmeralda was never really good at making conversation, especially with people she didn’t know, and part of her wondered if her “companion” could tell that this was the last place she wanted to be; in the woods with an absolute stranger. “Or someone?” at least she was attempting to make jokes.

Esmeralda’s eyes left the girl’s face as she produced a pack of cigarettes from her hoodie. She wanted to be able to say that she was even remotely surprised by the fact that the girl was obviously a smoker, but she expected nothing more of her. She was a student at Walt Academy, and that was all the proof she really needed. Esmeralda took deliberately small steps around the girl, making sure she didn’t step on a twig or stumble upon a rock or something. Her heels weren’t exactly made for excursions in the woods. “Pleasure to meet you, Anya.” Esmeralda’s lips curled up into a small grin as she reached one of the few trees in the clearing. “I’m Esmeralda.” the words ‘but you obviously already knew that’, threatened to escape her lips, but she stopped herself. Esmeralda leaned against the tree, crossing her arms in front of her chest as she watched Anya light her cigarette before offering her one. “How very considerate of you for offering.” She blatantly ignored the way Anya’s lips curved into a smirk as she brought her own cigarette to her lips. “But I’ve been told you’re not supposed to accept things from strangers.”a quiet laugh escaped her lips before she decided to speak again. “So, Anya,” her eyes locked onto the brunette’s once more “do you make a habit of hanging out in peculiar places.”
